How do I make an appointment with you?
Personal contact is at the heart of what I do which is why I prefer to have some form of communication (phone call, text, WhatsApp, email) with you first before making an appointment.
How much will the treatments cost?
Initial appointments are £55. This includes a full consultation and assessment, actual treatment times at this stage can be up to 1.5 hours to provide you with as much relief as possible in the first session.
Ongoing appointments:
· £50 for a 60-minute treatment plus a 20-minute consultation
· £75 for a 90-minute treatment plus a 20-minute consultation
· £90 for a 2-hour treatment plus a 20-minute consultation
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone’s body responds differently and your pain is not the same as someone else’s but normally acute conditions can be treated within 1-3 sessions. A high percentage of my clients see a significant improvement in just one session.
Pain that has been around for a while will take longer to treat because the body has learned to compensate for some time. These compensatory patterns need stripping back before the root cause of the presenting pain issue can be identified and treated effectively.
Will the treatment be painful?
Depending on who and what I’m treating, will depend on the techniques used through a treatment. Some techniques can cause discomfort but these are only used when appropriate. I will always aim to make your session as comfortable as possible and ensure you leave me feeling relaxed, rested, and in less pain than you arrived in.
I do not perform any clicking, cracking or high-velocity types of procedures and I do not use deep tissue massage as this can be counter-productive for someone who is already in pain.
Will I have to wait for a long time to get an appointment?
No, I can be very flexible with my working hours and would aim to see you within 14 days unless, of course, I am on holiday.
I’ve seen physio, chiro, osteo already but still have pain, will you be able to help?
A number of my clients have tried conventional methods to reduce pain but have felt a measurable improvement from the techniques I use.
Are your treatments the same as standard massages like aromatherapy, swedish etc
No, my training has been specifically based on assessing and treating musculoskeletal pain conditions taking into consideration biopsychosocial factors.
Whilst I treat pain and the physical symptoms of stress & anxiety, the majority of my clients return for maintenance sessions to prevent further pain patterns from occurring.
