“BLISS” became a familiar phrase used after treatments and so my journey to help people like you began.
Hi, I’m Stacey, not far off 50, happily married and mum to an almost teenager, animal lover, and owner of 2 dogs (Peggy & Roxy), 2 cats (Dave & Roger), and a horse (Rico).
What led me to Bliss?
After enjoying my student days at University studying Business & Finance, I found myself drawn to high-pressured sales positions and after a number of years of working for others, I took the decision to start my own IT recruitment business. The industry was notorious for being incredibly fast-paced, target driven, and highly competitive – I loved it, totally thrived on stress, and literally lived for work.
My only downtime was at Christmas when I would spend most of the holidays ill – it was so frustrating that as soon as I stopped for a short while, I would get chest infections, colds, tonsilitis, cold sores, pretty much wiping me out over the festive season. Unfortunately living in the supercharged fast lane eventually took its toll and in 2016 I faced total burnout and adrenal fatigue which quickly manifested into depression and anxiety. I was left with no option other than to reluctantly take time off work to rest which gave me the opportunity to spend much-needed time with family and friends, what an eye-opener this was. It seemed most people I knew had some form of pain, anxiety, depression, or sleep issues. I’d spent the last 10 years being too busy to notice any of this !!
My inspiration and my rock in life is my mum. She had always seemed ok whilst I was busy working every hour I could but little did I know how much pain had accumulated over the years. She had tried the usual conventional treatments without success and felt totally abandoned by the medical profession. Her only option was the continual use of industrial-strength painkillers and potentially risky back surgery, something she desperately wanted to avoid. She was living with pain that was invisible to others: chronic insomnia, constant back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain layered with headaches, hip arthritis, osteoporosis, spondylosis, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, and cauda equina syndrome.
Watching my mum suffer in silence fuelled my change in direction so I hung up my boots in recruitment and off I went on a journey to find alternative methods to treat pain that worked. I was determined I’d find a way for my mum to get more sleep and live with less pain.
To date, I’ve invested heavily in training from some of the best teachers in the UK and abroad which has given me extensive knowledge of anatomy & physiology, pain science, medical pathologies, the central nervous system, lymphatic and neuromuscular system, the cranial system, and a real understanding of biopsychosocial factors. I continually invest in training so I’m able to offer the most effective and up-to-date treatments to my clients.
After successfully treating my mum, other family members, and friends, I was encouraged to help others and finally found the confidence to branch out to the wider community.
